After a rather helpful and stylishly executed recap of the events of part one, we are thrown immediately back into the thick of the action, or rather, into the middle of a game of football. Cao Cao’s troops are killing time with a little competitive Cuju as they wait for the real battle of Red Cliff to kick off. While Sun Quan (Chang Chen) and his coalition forces formulate their plan of action across the bay, his sister, the plucky Shang Xiang (Zhao Wei) is seen masquerading as an enemy soldier, intermittently sending updates to Zhuge Liang (Takeshi Kaneshiro) via carrier pigeon of the state of the enemy’s superior forces. And the news is encouraging. A typhoid epidemic is sweeping through the camp yielding heavy casualties. While some of the allied generals see this as an opportune moment to strike, noble Zhou Yu (Tony Leung) sees this as a dishonourable tactic.

If Silver Hawk, produced by and starring the internationally-popular Michelle Yeoh, had a word to best describe it, it would be this: ill-conceived. Ostensibly a campy superhero action-adventure, Silver Hawk is at best a silly curiosity and at worst a misbegotten cinematic stink hole. Director-cinematographer Jingle Ma can't summon the requisite style to cloak the film's abominably average script, and Michelle Yeoh long-accepted screen charisma is beginning to look a little self-appointed. At the very least, the film's bad buzz has been so deafening that it's nearly impossible for it to suck beyond expectation. But putting Silver Hawk's questionable execution aside, let's face it: this is simply a bad idea.

An ex-Navy SEAL, Michael Adams, (Matthew Reese) was captured during a raid to free Japanese prisoners from a North Korean prison camp. He endures the North Koreans torture for three years -- seen only as flashbacks -- then released back into civilian life. A renegade North Korean General wants revenge for the raid on his camp, he follows Adams back to the United States with a plot to manipulate the former soldier into assassinating the leader of the raid, now a United States senator, Mason Chambers (K. Danor Gerald). The General targets Adams' estranged wife, Rachel (Jennifer Klekas) has her attacked so a doctor on the North Koreans payroll can insert a bomb into her head. Then Adam is captured, given the assignment and warned he must assassinate the senator within 12 hours or the bomb will detonate.

The movie begins with us seeing the red protodermis prison of the Makuta. Suddenly, the cold female voice of Roodaka calls his name and a talon scratched the prison and a small single shard fell off and landed in a sand circle with other colored lightstones. Vakama comes in telling the tale of the Toa Metru, who sealed the evil Makuta and vowed to save the sleeping Matoran. But the task would not be easy. There are very few spoken lines in the series. The most common line is "Nu, pogodi!" (Well, just you wait!). This is recited by Wolf when his plans fail. The series' trademark is that at the end of each episode (and at the end of the pre-title introduction), Wolf recites "Nu, Zayats, pogodi!" (Well, Hare, you just wait!). The Diclonius are a species of evolved humans with two cat-ear like horns and vectors, transparent telekinetically controlled arms that have the power to manipulate and cut objects within their reach. Diclonius are being held in a facility off the coast of Kamakura in Kanagawa, south of the city of Yokohama, by the scientist Kurama. The first of the Diclonius race, a teenage girl named by the staff as "Lucy," escapes, using her vectors to deflect gunfire and effortlessly kill security guards. As she makes her way out of the facility, a sniper shoots her, breaking her metal helmet and causing her to fall into the sea. The next morning, Kohta is moving to Kamakura to study in a university where he is reunited with his cousin Yuka. He encounters Lucy on a beach in the area, naked with her head bleeding from the bullet wound and only capable of saying the word "Nyu." Kohta and Yuka decide to take her with them, naming her "Nyu" as a result.
